ORPHANS' CLUB OPENING
BIRKENHEAD AND NORTHCOTE The ninth session of the Birkenhead and North cat® Orphans' Club was opened on Saturday evening with a very successful gathering in the Buffalo Hall at Birkenhead. There was a large attendance. The president, Mr. R. S. G. Holland, congratulated the members on determining to continue to provide social entertainment for neighbouring districts. On behalf of the members be presented a past-presi-dent's badge to Mr. D. Lawson. An enjoyable programme was supplied by the club's orchestra and other artists.
