YESTERDAY'S WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH Auckland.—Fine sunny weather, with a light variable wind, prevailed yesterday. Tlie barometer continued rising and the reading last night was 29.95 iii. Wellington.—Bright sunshine prevailed in Wellington during the greater part of yesterday, the weather becoming overcast, with a drizzling rain late in th® afternoon. The wind was from the south apd the temperature was cool. Christchurch.—Sunshine ami! cloud alternated yesterday and the wind varied from the wc?st to tho north-east. Tlia thermometer registered 45 degrees. Tho barometer fell to 29.97 in., but last evening showed a tendency to rise. * Dunedin.—The weather improved yesterday and was pleasantly fine, witfy bright sunshine during the afternoon. There was a light breeze from the north* cast. The barometer showed a falling tendency and the reading in the evening waa g--30.05in.
