STRUCK BY TRAMCAR
BUTCHER IN HOSPITAL CARRYING MEAT ACROSS ROAD A butcher, Mr. Theodore Payter, aged 45, of Dickens Street, Grey Lynn, received injuries to his right arm and leg and concussion when he was knocked down by a tramcar in Karangahape Road shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday. At the time of the accident Mr. Payter was carrying meat from a butcher's shop to a lorry on the other side of the street. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, but his condition is not Berious.
