GLOVES FOR FINE DAYS
Most of the gloves for next summer are of the gauntlet or pull-on type. Do not wear buttoned gloves with long, tight sleeves or with short ones. The gauntlet is the typo for both these styles. The wide cuff pulls on easily over a lingerie cuff, and incidentally helps to keep it clean. The soft pull-on ones will wrinkle up comfortably over the sleeves unless they arc skin-tight. , . Washable suede and chamois, the former for afternoon, the latter for country wear, are best for summer. Choose them large enough, as the hands sometimes swell in the heat. . Be careful in washing-—specially the suede ones. This is how it should be done. Make a very soapy lather. lut the gloves on the hands and wash out every speck of dirt. Kinse in the water Make a fresh lather—just as soapy. Squeeze out the water, then rub until the soap shows " white." Then rub just, a drop or two of olive oil well into (he. skins. Draw them off the hands carefully. Turn them insid'e out, so that "o mark gets on while drying. Blow intd each finger to keep it open. Hang in a current of air. When perfectly dry rub well to soften turn right sido out again, stretch slightly with glove stretchers, and they arcs ready to put on.
