SOUTH AUCKLAND AFFAIRS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday At the first annual meeting of the South Auckland Homing Pigeon Federation tho president. Mr. \V. G. Pountncy. presided over a large attendance of delegates fiom (he Hamilton. Te Aroha, Pukeniiro and liu'itlv West Clubs. The annual report stated that four races wore conducted by the federation during the season, the total number of entries being 298. Following are the oflicers for the ensuing year:— President, Mr. W. G. Pountney; secretary, Mr. A. Sharpe; treasurer, Mr, J. It whs decided to hold the first raco of the coining season 011 October 15. HAMILTON CLUB'S YEAR [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Friday A record number of entries. 1206, was received for tho .26 races conducted by the Hamilton Homing l'igeon Club last season, according to ths report presented at tho annual meeting in Hamilton. Trophies were won during tho year as follows:— Yearling championship, Blenheim ~nd old bird championship cups, A. Sharpe; Timaru Cup, C.-Mayes; old and young bird average eupp, Miss E. Sutton. . The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. *. Woodhali; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. bharpe; clock officials, Messrs. C. Mayes and W. G. Pountuey; marking officials, Messrs. O. Crabb and J. Rcid.
