LITTLE CHANGE RECORDED SUMMER HOLIDAYS INTERVENE CHEESE MARKET WEAKER The London butter market this week has been influenced by the English midsummer holidays. As a result the market is generally reported as quiet, with prices steady at around last week's quotation of 106s to 107s a cwt. Easier conditions nro reported' in tho cheese market, chiefly owing to the heavy arrivals of Canadian. Prices show a reduction of approximately is to 2s a cwt. on last week's rates. A feature of the quotations this weekis the sudden weakening in Danish butter prices. Last week, owing to reports of reduced production, prices hardened to 124s landed, but rates have now declined to around 116s a cwt., a fall of nearly a penny a pound. Tho Press Association message from London states that the butter market is quiet, being affected by the bank holiday. Danish is quoted at 112s to 114s a cwt.; New Zealand, 106s; Australian, 102s to 103s; unsalted, Australian, 106s. 'lhe cheese market is also quiet. New Zealand white is quoted at 565; coloured, 555.

Cheeso: Now Zealand, white, 55s to 565; coloured, 54s to 555; Canadian, white, 563 to 575; coloured, 55s to 565; c.i.f., 55s to 565. Both markets aro slow. Mr. L. McCartney, from ILenry A.
