ALLEGATION OF ASSAULT TWO RIBS CRACKED [by telegraph—press association] CHHISTCHURCH. Wednesday Sergeant F. C. Harrison is at present Buffering from two cracked ribs as tho result of an alleged assault yesterday. Descinond Wilson, labourer, aged 33 years, was charged in tho Police Court to-day with assaulting tho sergeant a'nd obstructing Constable L. P. liicketts in tho execution of his duty. Wilson was remanded until to-morrow.

Sergeant Fox said tlio assault happened at a. timo when tho sergeant and coiutablo wero endeavouring to executo a warrant on another man,, who was in tho samo room as tho accused. Bail was allowed.
