COMPETITORS TRAINING.
NOTES FROM LOS ANGELES. (Received July 19. 5.5 p.m.) LOS ANGELES. July 18. - Ludy I Langer, the famous American swimmer who visited Australia in 1921, accompanied by Frank Beaiirepaire, of Australia, to-day visited the Olympic pool and suggested an improvement in (jharlton's turning, which will result in his showing greater speed. Noel Rysjn recorded a good quartermile. Scarf is again back to form and is wrestling daily, while Barwick's workouts are confined to long walks and lightexercise. Bob Pearce did an exceptionally good sculling trial this morning. The New Zcalunder, J. A. Black, is suffering from soreness of tho back and has eased his work. J. W. Savidan today worked strongly. Miss T. Kencli is showing improving form. THE CANADIAN TEAM. ABOUT 120 ATHLETES. VANCOUVER. July 18. Canada's representation at tho Olympic Games at Los Angeles will number about 120 athletes. Percy Williams, defender of tho 100 and 200 metres titles won at the games in Amsterdam, will head the sprinters.
