QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT
ATTITUDE OF GOVERNMENT.
London, July 12
Sir Philip Sassoon, Under-Secretary for Air. was asked in the House of Commons whether his attention had been drawn to the forthcoming attempt by a British airman (presumably Mr. J. A. Mollison) to cross the Atlantic both ways in a light aeroplane. Sir Philip said the department's policy generally was not to restrict distance flights by individual airmen, but that must not be regarded as encouraging this projected flight.
