CHILDREN OF MARY.
The Children of Mary of St. Mary's Parish, Northcote, held their annual dance in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Monday evening, Mr. P. McGovern was in charge of the floor, and the Merrymakers Orchestra supplied the dance music, Mr. R. Salt, playing an extra number. A whistling solo by Mr. C. C. Purdy, accompanied by Mrs. V. Harrison, was greatly appreciated. The winners of a whist drive, held in conjunction with tho dance, were Mr. C. Headland, Miss Roberts, and Mrs. Calchan. The Children of Mary, who acted as/tlie committee and were responsible for the organisation of the dance, were Miss Z. Sampson, who wore pink georgette; Miss Muller, pink georgette; Miss Healey. lemon floral taffeta; Miss A. Healey, apple green satin beaute; Miss M. Healey, white satin beaute; Miss Rowles, green ninon; Miss Nichols, greeiTsatin; Miss A. Mullins, pink satin; Miss Horan, pink taffeta; Miss J. Rowles, scarlet panne velvet; Miss M. Snow, beige satin beaute; Miss Eades, Burgundy panne velvet; Miss Neben, pink georgette; Miss P. Lanigan, flame georgette; Miss Bowker, green georgette; Miss M. Bowker, shell pink georgette; Miss E. Luks, peach satin; Miss 0. Luks, pale green satin; Miss G. Donahoe, flame satin; Miss M. Lunny, pink taffeta; Miss E. Snow, flame panne 'velvet. ' .
