WEDDING.

LINKLATER—PATERSON. A wedding of considerable interest was celebrated at Knox Church, Parriell, yesterday afternoon, when Miss Molly Gwendolyn Paterson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. 'S. Paterson, of Richmond Downs, Walton, was married to Mr. Robert George Linklater, eldest son of Mr. J. Linklater, M.P.? and Mrs. Linklater, of Palmerston North. The Rev Macdonald Aspland officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful frock of ivory ring velvet embossed in a silver leaf design. The frock, which was cut on long lines, fitted closely to the hips and fell, from there in full folds to the ankles. The sleeves were long and tight-fitting and a coatee effect in front of the bodice was gauged in the centre and finished with a brilliant ornament. Her veil of embroidered tulle formed a train and was arranged on the head with a bandeau of silver beads and clusters of orange blossom over each ear. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Betty Paterson, sister of the bride, and Miss Mavis Linklater, sister of' the bridegroom. They wore frocks of primrose satin beaute with short puffed sleeves and three flared frills graduated toward the hemline. Their apple green felt hats had a bandeau of primroses under the brim and they each carried a sheaf of gladioli. Little Peggy Paterson, sister of the bride, was flowergirl, and wore an Early .Victorian frock of apple green taffeta with bands of ruching on the skirt, and a gold lace Juliet cap. She carried a posy of primroses. Mr. Jack Linklater attended his brother as best man, and Mr. M. Hislop, of Wellington, was groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the Parnell Park Kiosk, Mrs. Paterson receiving in a frock of cherry wool amuri, the collar and cuffs being bordered with scalloped black pony skin, and a cherry felt hat trimmed with a black ostrich feather. She carried a bouquet of anemones. Mrs. Linklater, mother of the bridegroom, was in a frock of morone georgette and lace and a / morone felt hat. She carried an autumn-tinted bouquet. Mrs. R. L Paterson, aunt of tho bride, was in a black satin frock with skunk furs and a black hat trimmed with ospreys; Miss M. Paterson (Napier), aunt of tho bride, wore black and white georgetto with a black and white coat and black velour hat; Miss E. B. Paterson, chocolate brown satin beaute with a skunk stole and a beige felt hat; Miss M. W. Paterson, green novelty tweed ensemble with fox furs and a bottle green felt hat. Among the guests were: Mr. J. S. Paterson, Mr. J. Linklater, M.P., Mr. R. L. Paterson, Mr. and Mrs. M. MacLeod (Palmerston North), Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., and Mrs. Nash (Palmerston North), Mr. and Mrs. J. G. McLean, Mr. and Mrs. J. Routhan, Mr. and Mrs. G. Brebner, Mr. and Mrs. F. North, Mr. and Mrs. F. Gwilliam, Mrs. Wylie (Palmerston North), Rev. and Mrs. Macdonald Aspland, Misses R. Linklater, C. Smith, M. Reeves (Tolaga Bay), M. Newton (Napier), Messrs. H. Reeves (Tolaga Bay), L. Simmons and R. Wylie (Palmerston North).
