BETTER DEMAND FOR CHEESE. Activj conditions arc reported in the London market for dairy produce this. week. Quotations for New Zealand finestbutter, -which have recovered to 100:5 a cwt., register ai advance of 2sia cwt. on last week's rates, while cheese, which is also in better demand, is Is to 2s a cwt. firmer. The advances, apparently, are at ! the expense of Continental produce, the' market for which is reported to lie * weaker. . The Press Association message from ■- London states that the butter market is .* active. Danish is quoted at 102s a cwt.; choicest salted New Zealand, 98sto 100s; -> Australian. 96s to 98s; unsalted New . Zealand, 93s to 104s; Australian, 06s to * 98s. Cheese is in better demand. New - Zealand white and coloured is quoted at ,» 58s; Australian, 565. In the last week of May the butter •< market was rnoro- active. Danish was , quoted at 1005 to 102s; choicest salted .
