COST OF SETTLEMENT.
In nn estimate of lite cost of settling laiid in tho Kaimai district, forwarded hy Mr. John Hopkins,' chairman of tho Kiiimm Farmers' Association, and published in tho Herald on Wednesday, reference was made to manuring "at the rate of 2s an aero." Mr. ' Hopkins' estimate -provided for manuring "ut the rate of 2ewt. an acre."
