GIRLS' COMMITTEE DANCE.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION.
An attractive scene of brightness and gaiety was presented in the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening, -when a dance was held by the girls' committee of the Victoria League, in aid of the committee funds. New lights have .been installed in the cabaret, both plain and vari-coloured, the latter throwing their beams across the dance floor from the orchestral dais with charming effect. Bowls of jonquils and marigolds made attractive table decorations, and excellent dance music was provided by the cabaret band. On arrival the guests were received by Miss Mow*bray, president of the league, who wore a frock of black chiffon embroidered in jet and silver beads; Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, chairman of the girls' committee, who was in black georgette embroidered in gold; and Mrs. A. Cerutty, who wore a frock of buttercup yellow lace. The girls of the sub-committee were: —Miss Kathleen Aickin, who wore a frock of moonlight blue tosca net and chenille georgette; Miss Marjorie Cerutty, in Persian red satin bcauto; Mrs. Eric ' Webb, geranium red souple satin; Miss W. Kent, pervenche blue taffeta; Miss Mavis McCulloch, tomato-red floral georgette; Miss Maureen Abbott, powder blue net over satin; Miss Mary Cruickshank, shell pink taffeta inlet with frilled godets.
