As n. sequel to a disturbance outside Lancaster Park on May 7, during tho tramway strike, James Duncan Bowk, agod 37, painter, was charged to-day with assaulting Henry Victor Laing, a volunteer conductor, and causing his death; thereby committing manslaughter. Accused was remanded until July 7. Bail was allowed. Tho police said Mr. Idling received a blow, and later died in hospital. It. was alleged that tho accused struck tho blow.
