The cup presented by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, as a trophy for" • . test Eugby matches between New Zealand and Australia has arrived in Auckland from England and is now on exhibition in the windows of Milne and Choyce, Limited. The cup is one of the most handsome presented in New Zealand. Itgs of 6terling silver and is surmounted Jiy a silver Eugby football. The chasing|on the lid * is an interweaving of New Zealand fern and Australian gum nuts and leaves in high relief. Engraved on the front of the cup are the arms of New Zealand, the arrnc of Australia being on the treverse side. The chasing around the basei is an intermingling of Australian wattle flowers and New Zealand kowhai flowers ixi relief.

The height of the cup, irrespective of the plinth, is 23in. It is 25in.- in width and weighs 2Qooz. .The substantial oak plinth is surrounded by 25 shields for the names of the winning country in eacli series of games. The cup is to b® known as the <( Bledisloe Cup, and is engraved: " Presented by Lord Bledisloe, Governor-General of New Zealand, 1931." Cup and plinth -are enclosed in a baize-lined oak case. The trophy was designed by Mr. Nelson Isaac, head of the art school of the Wellington Technical College, and wa s made by Walker and Hall, Limited. Announcement of the presentation of the cup was made last September. Tha first game of the first series of matchet for it will be played in Sydney on Saturday.
