OBJECTS EXPLAINED. MOPE FOR MORE EMPLOYMENT. LONDON, April 27. In the House of Commons the Dominion Secretary, Mr. J. H. 'I homas said the object of the Empire Economic Conference to be held at Ottawa in July was to examine fully the various means whereby inter-Imperial trade could be maintained and extended. He hoped one of tile most valuable results would be an increase of employment throughout the Empire.

Bromley, chairman, and Mr. Walter Citrine, general secretary, its representatives to accompany the Government delegation to advise on industrial questions at the Ottawa Conference.
