BORDER LEICESTER PRICES.
HIGH SCOTTISH LEVELS. Tho highest price since 1920 for a Border Leicester ram was realised at the great Kelso ram sale, Scotland, in January, wlion one of I lie Kandyknowc consignment of ' shearlings from Messrs. J. and M. Templ.cton sold for £425. Others from Sandvknowe made £370 and £2OO. For their lot of 15 rams Messrs. Templeton had the high average of £lO2 17s 4d, none of tlie sheep selling below £3O. This is the third year in succession that Sandyknowc have headed the list of averages, and their figure on this occasion is the highest in the history of tho flock. Mr. Frank' J. Elliot sold his Border Leicester rani which was champion at tho Berwickshire show, at £IOO. and at tho same figure a shearling from Mr. James Howie, jun., was disposed of. Tho second highest' average for Border Leicosters was made by Mr. Robert Cross, whose consignment of six from- Knockdon yielded £45 16s 8d apiece, with a top figure of £56, paid twice. One of the Deuchrie draft from Mr. James Jeffrey realised £72, and the average for 11 was £33 Qs Id,
