The members of the Ladies' Gardening Club held another of their charming displays at tho Y.W.C.A., when there was a large number of visitors and members to view the charming floral displays. Several of the members of the Waipu Women's Institute, and visitors also from Baparoa, motored through and expressed their delight at the show of blooms. Mrs. D. Fraser, who was in charge of the afternoon. called upon the various members to explain the raising and treatment given to produce the best results in connection with her vase of flowers. This was a very instructive and interesting way in which to deal with the varied blooms. Beautiful chrysanthemums, gerheras, iris stvlosi, the quaint dwarf zinnias and other seasonal flowers were much in evidence. The novelties were the annual poinsettia, which grows wild in Honolulu, the Keffir lilv, and a Californiati berry, the seed of which was brought from America and grown by a member since her return. The capable tea committee handed around refreshments during the recess and a busy time followed in disposing of the flowers before bringing a delightful afternoon to a. Hose.
