AMERICAN CONSULS.

PASSENGERS ON SONOMA. After a period of service as United States Consul-General at Sydney, Mr. W. Keblinger passed through Auckland on the Sonoma on Saturday en route to Honolulu, where he will attend meetings of the Pan-Pacific Conference and a foreign trade conference. Mr. Keblinger will -then proceed to Washington prior to taking up the position of Consultenerni at Singapore.

Mr. A. R. Preston, United States Con- 1 sul at Brisbane, who was stationed for a short term in Auckland in 1925, was also a through passenger on the Sonoma, travelling to San Francisco on leave.
