BOMB OUTRAGE OF 1916

(Received April 22. 5.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, April 21

The Governor of California, Mr. James Rolph, after an exhaustive study of evidence supplied by Labour and Liberal leaders, has issued a report declining to pardon Thomas Mooney. 1 his man is serving a sentence of imprisonment fot life in San Quentin gaol for implication in the Preparedness Day bombing outrage at San Francisco in 1916, as a result of which 10 people were killed. Mr. Rolph is the fourth Governor to refuse clemency for Mooney. The case has aroused public interest upon various occasions in the past 10 years.
