ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS

TRIBUTE FROM HIS MAJESTY

(Received April 22, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, April 21. The King sent a wireless message of greeting to the First Battalion of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, of which he is Colonel-in-Chief, and which arrived at Southampton to-day from Egypt after 13 years' service abroad. His Majesty's message raad: "Since the battalion left theie shores in 1914 it has seen much active service. lam proud to think that my regiment has won fresh laurels by its conduct in war and peace. I wish all ranks a happy return to their homes and families."
