SHOCKING SYDNEY CRIME

A shocking double assault, was committed at Bellevu < Hill, Sydney, last night.. Mr. Victor Claude Say well, a wellknown solicitor and sportsman, and his wife were found in bed this morning with their heads terribh injured. Apparently they had been struck with a hammer while they were asleep. The injured couyle were taken to hospital. Each is in .i critical condition.
No reason for ho murderous attack upon the victims hrs yet been ascertained. A blood-stained ha.nmer was found in an adjoining paddock. Mr. and Mrs. Sly well are prominent society people.
