"ALICE IN WONDERLAND."

Mrs. R. G. Hargreaves. who was the original Alice of Lewis Carroll's " Alice in Wonderland. ' has accepted the invitation of Colmrbia University to attend the celebration of the Carroll centenary next month. The celebration was postponed from January in order to spare ■Mrs. Hargreaves, who is 80 years old, the rigours of an ocean crossing in the winter. The Macmillan Company has published a facsimile of the original manuscript, ha idlettered and illustrated by Lewis Carroll, with the original title. "Alice's Adventures Underground." Lewis Carroll gave the original manuscript to Mrs. Hargreaves (then Alice Liddell) as a Christmas present 69 years ago.
