HOMELY APPELLATIONS.
The modern liking for change has carrier! its influence into the very names of ordinary things around the house. We seldom allude to the room in which wo spend most of our time when at home as the living room, the sitting room, the parlour, or the front room. It is the " lounge," the dining room, or (he drawing room. The homely appellations for many of the ordinary things of life have been altered to suit the up-to-date thirst for " originality."
