QUEEN AT TRADE FAIR.
BIG PURCHASES. BRISK BUSINESS FOR BRITAIN. The British Industries Fair, which opened at Olvmpia and the White City, London, and at Castle Bromwich, Birmingham, has stirred the admiration of men and women from all parts of tho world. " The most magnificent trade fair ever held in England." This was the unanimous description of all the thousands of buyers who flocked to the various sections where tho displays, revealing fresh triumphs by British manufacturers, are evoking whole-hearted praise.
No one was more impressed by the wonders to bo explored than the Queen, who, with the Duke and Duchess of York, the Princess Royal, and Prince George, spent more than three hours at Olympia —the section devoted to the lighter trades, foods, and Empire products. The Queen not only expressed delight at the excellent standard of British goods exhibited, but also praised the arrangements for displaying them.
Her Majesty further expressed satisfaction that the fair is attracting so much interest from firms abroad.
