POLICE IN THE AIR.
REAL FLYING SQUAD. A plan is being discussed for tho formation of a school of flying police. Scotland Y.ird, it is stated, is enthusiastic about tho introduction of a " Flying Squad," flying in the real sense of the term, as a method of curbing the activities of tho motor-car bandit. It is hoped within the next few months to send a number of young recruits of tho police force to a flying school with a view to their being taught how to fly. The police would thus be able to send men at a moment's notice by air in pursuit of speeding motor bandits, and would stand a really good chance of heading off the thieves or directing " land " police. Tho Commissioner of Police, Lord Trenchard, is known as tho mau who made the Royal Air Force.
