GIRL GUIDES.

At a recent meeting of fhe Auckland Provincial Executive, of (ho Girl Guide Association, it was decided to commemorate the 2.lst anniversary of the movement by spending a day assisting the Mayoress' War Memorial Library League. At. nn executive meeting of the league on Wednesday morning this offer was gratefully accepted. Later in tho meeting the sub-committee of tho Girl Guide Association joined tho executive and preliminary arrangements were made. It is proposed that several hundred Guides collect reading matter, going from house to houso in the city and suburbs, while others sort, repair and cover books and magazines in the supper room at the Town Ilall. This will be carried out on Wednesday, May 18. Only Guides in uniform will be authorised to collect.
