SOUTH AUCKLAND UNION. [from our own correspondent.] PUKEKOHE. Tuesday. Tho annual meeting of the South Auckland Rugby Football Union was held last evening, Mr. J. Dean presiding. _ The balance-sheet showed a credit of £137. It was decided to elect a selection committee of three representatives from the sub-unions. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr. J. N. Massey. M.P.: president. Mr. Dean: vice-presidents, Messrs-. E. C'. Foote (Papakura). H. Wilcox and G. Carter (Franklin), H. J. Humnet and D. Jamieson (Pukekohe) Dr. Whiteside and Mr. T. McNamara (Waniku); secretary and treasurer. Mr. W. J. Short: assistant-secretary. Mr. W. Patterson; delegate to the Auckland.Rugby Union. Mr. Dean; delegate to tho South Auckland Referees' Association. Mr. J. P. Rae; senior selectors. Mr. R. W. Bilkey and two others to be elected by tho sub-unions; junior selector. Mr. Hevell;; third-grade selector, Mr. Rae. An application from two Clevedon players for permission to play with an Auckland club was declined, and in response to an appeal from the president, the players, concerned agreed to give consideration to a> proposal to assist a newly-formed club fit Drury. The Clevedon Club was given permission to play in the Fukekohe Sub-union a competitions, and the sub-union was also given control ot the remaining portion of the Manuknii territory with a view t:> raising further teams

OPOTIKI COUNTRY CLUB. [from orn own correspondent.] OPOTIKI, Tuesday. A successful season was reported at tho annual meeting of the Opotiki United. Country Club, the senior team being successful in winning its competition. Th® balance-sheet showed a credit balance of .CS 19s. The following officers were elected:— President, Air. C. Black; vice-presidents. Messrs. A. Gordon, G. Dawson, J. Gordon, C. Clark, F. Reid and H. Lamer: secretary, Mr. C. D. Brown; treasurer, Mr. K. Forbes; club captain. Mr. C. Newth; delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs. F. J. Short and S. M. Jephson; management committee. Messrs. S. Gordon, 11. Hawkins. C. Newth, J. Craig. D. Muioribanks, F. J. Short, S. M. Jephson and L.
