MOTOR TRANSPORT.

SERVICES AT ROTORUA. [from our own correspondent.] ROTORUA, Tuesday. A meeting of No. 3 Authority under the Transport Licensing Act was opened to-day, Mr. E. L. Walton presiding. About 30 caseg are set down for hearing. The chairman said there were a number of applications for Rotorua passenger services. It was necessary to show that passengers were available to justify those services and that regular time-tables would be adhered to. Counsel for the Railways Department said there were a number of applications at Rotorua which affect the railways. One of the purposes of the Act was the elimination of wasteful transport.
