PHAR LAP'S DEATH.

REPORT OF ANALYSTS. AILMENT ACTED ON HEART. (Received April 15, 5.5 p.ru.) SAN FRANCISCO, April 14. The Hooper Medical Foundation of the University of California reported on Thursday that Pilar Lap died of colic, or an acute indigestion condition. The report said this probably resulted from the fermentation of food in the horse s stomach causing bloating or distention of the muscles of the heart and stopping that organ.

A chemical analysis revealed two milligrams of a deadly poison in Phar Lap's stomach, about the normal quantity of this poison to be found in the amount of green food Phar Lap had eaten. This amount should have been beneficial, the pathologists said.

A message from New \ork says Phar Lap's trainer, Mr. T. Woodcock, arrived there and proceeded immediately to Binghampton, New York State, for a conference with prominent racing men.
