REVOLT IN ECUADOR.
RETURN OF AN EXILE. LANDING NOT PREVENTED. BRITISH OIL SHIP SEIZED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received April 8, 5.55 p.m.) VANCOUVER, April 7. A message from Guayaquil states that the men of Ecuador's navy, which comprises two gunboats, mutinied to-day to prevent the home-coming of General Leonidas Plaza Gutierrez, twice President, who was exiled in 1925. At the same time a group of rebels seized the fort at Punta Piedran. The disturbance assumed an international complexion when a party of insurrectionists captured the oil-tanker Buaro, the property of a British company. All the activities, however, failed to prevent General Gutierrez from landing.
