The Colonial Secretary has appointed Sir William Cowers, at present Governor of Uganda, to be senior Crown Agent for the Colonies in succession to Sir Henry Lambert, who is to retire shortly. Colonel Fleming has been appointed fourth Crown Agent for the Colonies and engineer-in-chief in succession to Colonel Sir James Carrnichael, shortly to retire.
