DISPUTED ELECTION.

THE RANGITIKEI SEAT. COURT TO HEAR PETITION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OAVN CORRESPONDENT. ] MARION, Friday. An electoral Court comprising tlie Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and Mr. Justice Reed will sit at Marton on April 18 to hear the petition of Mr. J. T. Hogan, that the election of Mr. Alexander Stuart as representative of the Rangitikej electorate be declared void. Mr. Hogan is the former Independent member for the district and was defeated by Mr. Stuart, the Reform ■ candidate, at the general election. The official count gave Mr. Stuart a majority of 13 votes. At a subsequent magisterial count his margin was increased to 15 votes.
