LOVELY CHAIRS.

MATCHBOX FURNITURE. Do you know that matchboxes can be nsed to make lovely chairs and settees for" a doll's house? This is how they are marie. For the settee you will need two empty matchbox-trays, and from one of these you must carefully cut away one of the long sides. Now stick the two trays together, base to base, and presto!—your settee is made. Arm-chairs to match are made by just cutting a matchbox-tray in half. Coat the uiiderpart of each half with paste or gum, and then stick the two pieces together. Your chair and settee can be used just ns they are, but if you neatly cover them with prettily patterned wallpaper they vrill look just as though they were properly upholstered.
