LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

The St. Heliers branch of the League Of Mothers held its April meeting this week. In spite of the rain there was a good attendance of members, presided ever bv Mrs. St. Clair Inglis. A syllabus for the year was drawn up and it was decided to hold future meetings °n the first Monday of each month. Mrs.' Berry and Mrs. Granville, of England, were the speakers, the former deftly touching on various subjects with which fche had become familiar during her world-wide tour. She also gave valuable cooking hints and recipes of French cooking. Mrs. Granville told of various Bi id interesting experiences in England during political campaigning. The ladies w ere warmly thanked and applauded for their interesting talks. which were thoroughly enjoyed. Afternoon tea provided by Mrs. Cahill, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. A. Brookfield brought to a close a particularly tappv afternoon.
