WELL-KNOWN BUSINESS MAN. y Having completed 42 years'/ service with the Kauri Timber Company, Ltd., Mr. A. B. Hammond has retired! Mr. Hammond, who was born in Auckland, joined the company at Aratapu, iNorih -iuckland, then a big timber milling centre. He later assumed charge of the firms bush and milling activities in the Northern Wairoa and held this position for, a number of years.
