MURDER AT HOBART.
ELDERLY VICTIM SHOT. WATERSIDE WORKER'S FATE. (Eefeive.d April 5. 11.55 p.m.) HOBART. April 5. A brutal murder was perpetrated in Harrington Street, Hobart. I' lC victim was Charles Whelan, 63, a waterside Worker, who was living alone. Whelan was shot by one of two men who later /were seen running away from the scene. A neighbour heard the men demanding mo.ney, also Whclan's protests. Then a shot was heard. One neighbour followed the two men for some dis- * If.nee. When ho returned lie found Whedead.
