SHIP'S ENGINEER HURT.
SEVERAL RIBS BROKEN. CAPTAIN ALSO IN HOSPITAL. Fractures of several ribs were received by Mr. Bertram Lewis, engineer of the motor-ship Margaret W,, as a result, of falling while descending the engi.ne-room companionway early last evening. Mr. Lewis, who resides in Gisborne, fell several feet. Ho was taken to tho Auckland Hospital in the St. John ambulance. It is a coincidence thafc the captain of the same ship, Captain D. L. Clark, is also in hospital, following a motor accident on Tuesday.
