Three Maoris driving in a motor-truck had a fortunate escape from injury when the vehicle was struck by the RotoruaAuckland express at a level-crossing jusfc south of Matamata shortly before noon to-day. The truck was' almost completely destroyed but the occupants, with the exception of a girl, who received minor injuries, escaped unhurt.
