JUDGE AND JUROR.

CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR. FRANK REPLY TO QUESTION. A man who had been summoned as a juror in a Sydney court recently asked Mr. Justice James; to excuse him on the ground that he was a conscientious objector. His Honor: Do you tell me on your oath that if the evidence went all the one "way you would not convict or acquit, as the case may be ? The Man: Yes.

His Honor: Very well, you are not fit to be a juror. I must excuse you, and I think I ought to have your name taken off the jury list.
