OLYMPIC GAMES CREW. SELECTION THROUGH CHANCE. The element of chance played an important part in the selection of one man for tho Olympic eight-oar crew to represent New Zealand at Los Angeles next August. C. A. Healey, Wanganui, was chosen by the selectors to stroko tho probables crew, but was not available when the race 'between probables and possibles was due to start at Picton on Easter Saturday, and G. O. Cooke, Wellington, was put in his seat. Following a conference, the names of ten men were announced as the personnel of the crew, and foremost among them was Cooke.
