WEDDINGS.

G REV ILLE—GIIAIIA M. • A military wedding was celebrated at St. Clark's Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Jean Margaret Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Graham, of Lancaster Road, Birkdale, was married to Captain Alec Grevillc. New Zealand .Staff Corps, third son of Mrs. J. W. Grevillc, of Bayswater. The Rev. G. C. Cruickshank officiated, assisted by the Rev. R. G. Coats. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory brocaded satin with a yoke of georgette studded with pearls. The corsage was tight-fitting, and the full skirt, which was fashioned to form a small train, was finished with a deep hem of net. Her lace veil was worn well back from the forehead and ornamented with clusters of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of white cactus dahlias. In attendance as bridesmaids were -Miss Helen Asser and Miss Mi.rjorie Graham, who were dressed alike in frocks of white spotted net over taffeta. The bodices had fichu collars pinned m front with a cameo brooefi, and the skirts, which foil to the ground, were trimmed with five rows of picot-edged frills at the hips and a single frill at the hemline. Their white felt hats were turned up at one side and finished with a white ostrich feather, and they each carried a sheaf of scarlet flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Colonel ('. S. White as best man and Captain W. S. R. Bloomfield, R.A.F., as groomsman. The bridegroom and his attendants were in uniform. At the conclusion of the ceremony an arch of swords was formed by the bridegroom's brother officers, under which the bridal couple passed. A ceremony was afterwards held at Ihe Parnell Kiosk, Mrs. Graham receiving in a navy wool georgette ensemble and a navv hat. Mrs. Greville wore a navy satin beautc frock and hat to tone, and Mrs. .1. S. Grierson (Wairakei), grandmother of the bride, was in a black silk frock and a black hat trimmed with a beige feather. WATSON—BA LLANTV N E A wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends was celebrated at St. Paul's Church last, evening, when Miss Louise flearn Ballantyne, daughter of Mr. If. t'. Ballantyne, of Sandringham Road, Mount Albert, was married to Mr. Claude Thomas Cecil Watson, son of the Rev. ('. A. B. Watson and Mrs. Watson, of Wynyard Street, Auckland. 'Hie ceremony was performed by the bridegroom's father and Dr. \V. E. Thomas played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a closefitting gown of ivory panne velvet falling in three separate trains at the back and finished at the waist with a girdle of pearls. Her tulle veil was worn with a small cap of pearls set well back from the forehead and finished with a tiny spray of orange, blossom at one side. She carried a prayer-book with a book-mark of ivory water-ribbon, ornamented at the ends with a spray of orange blossom. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Molly Ballantyne, sister of the bride, and Miss Valerie Bright. They were dressed alike in frocks of ivory taffeta with long, tight-fitting bodices and very full skirts, a deep hem. of niching round the bottom of the skirt and the tiny sleeves giving a fur effect. They wore caps of old silver lace set well back from the forehead and

each carried a Victorian posy. The bridegroom was. attended by Mr. Hubert Watson as best man, and Mr. S. Wilson was groomsman. Mr. Alex Watson acted as usher. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Vicarage, 46, Wynvard Street. Miss Ballantyne received the guests wearing a beige macrame lace and georgette ensemble with deep cuffs, of fur to tone, and a close-fitting berettoque. She carried a posy of autumntinted flowers. Mrs. Watson, the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of brown figured marocain and a black hat. She carried a posv of pastel-shaded flowers. Among the guests were:—Dr. and Mrs. ,T.
