WELLINGTON'S NEW DOCK.

FIRST TEST THIS WEEK. Arrangements have been finalised for a full-dress rehearsal with the new Wellington Jubilee floating dock next Thursday morning. If tho weather is favourable, tho Now Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rualiino will enter tho dock on that day, and will be lifted high and dry as though for repairs. The dock was partly submerged last Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday it was submerged to a depth of about, 15ft. It is probable that a full submerging test will bo made totiny and that all preliminaries will liavo been completed in time for the demonstration with tho Ruahino on Thursday. When idle tho dock will bo allowed to float with tho decking or floor practically awash. During tho recent tests experts have, observed the performance of the dock and its pumping machinery closely.
