Arawa tribe and a wellknown resident of Ohineniulu, occurred yesterday, aged 32 years, Mr, ITanpapa was in charge o.l' the Maori Arts School at Ohincmutu, 110 was an exceptionally clever Maori carver and had executed work for many well-known churches and meeting houses, Homo splendid specimens of his work wore placed in tlio Memorial Church at Tikitiki. Mr. Haupapa was "well-known in the musical world as a singer. A tangi will he held and the funeral will probably take place on Wednesday.
