. -*■ DEATHS OF TWO MEN. ! SIMILARITY OF CIRCUMSTANCES. A tragic coincidence has been the dpath j in accidents of two employees of the same I .Auckland firm within n period of three ' days. The victims are Mr. John Joseph j Hilary Folia*;, aged 23, of New North Road, Avondale, and Mr. Frederick Wheelhouse, aged 21, of Maungawhau Road, Newmarket, both of whom were employed by L. D. Nathan and Company, Ltd. Emphasis is given to the coincidence by the similarity of the circumstances of the fatalities. Roth men proceeded to their homes after the accidents, apparently nofc seriously injured, but complications resulted, and made necessary their removal to the Auckland Hospital. Roth I accidents involved motor-cycles, j Mr. Fnllas, who was single, died in i the, hospital at an early hour yesterday i morning. At 6.50 a.m. on Wednesday j he was riding toward the, city, when his I motor-cycle collided with a milk van at J tho intersection of Gladstone- Road and | New North Road, Mount Albert. The j machine skidded and Mr. Follas suffered i head injuries as a result, of the fall. He ! received medical attention and was able Ito proceed to his home. His condition i becamo worse in the evening and his ! doctor ordered his removal to the hospital. Mr. Whcelhouse, who was married, was knocked down by a motor-cyclc in Queen Street at 6.15 p.m. on Tuesday. He received aitcntion at a dispensary in the city and later proceeded to his home. Early on Wednesday morning Mr. Wheel house had to be admitted to the hospital, where lie. died shortly before noon as a result of head injuries.
