TO USE UP PUMPKINS.

Many readers are glad of all economical recipes, and some may like to -know the way of making delicious pumpkin jam. Peel and seed pumpkin, cut into small pieces and weigh the lot. To each'pound of pumpkin add half a pound of sugar, the grated rind and the juice of one lemon and quarter of an ounce of ground ginger. Stand in basin overnight and next day pour off the juice into a pan. let it boil, and then add the pumpkin. Boil together till it is thick and you can see through the pieces when you put some in a saucer.
