AUCKLAND CABARETS.
PETER. PAN. There, was much merriment at, the Peter Pan on Saturday evening, a large number of dancers being present. The Peter Pan Hand, under Mr. Luis Tuhrner's direction, dispensed an excellent programme of fiance, tunes. Among those dancing were;— Mrs. Hamlin (Wellington), who wore black moire satin; Airs. Adeane, green floral ninon; Mrs. L. W. Swan, cherry lace; Mrs. Neville Wideombo, black lace over pink georgette; Mrs. Eric, \atos, white lace; Mrs. Thompson, gown of black moire; Miss Joyce Johnson, turquoise blue satin beaute; IS Ii ss Miri Rragato. gown of black and silver metal cloth; Miss Molly Mulchings lido blue satin; Miss Valerie Peacock, pistaehe green satin gown; Miss Marshall, duck-egg blue moire; Miss Win. Farham. nastnrtiumi*ed lace frock; Miss Audrey Walton, pastel green and yellow patterned ninon; Miss 15. Carlson (Taumaruuui), palest, primrose satin beaute; Miss Phyllis Eady, honey beigo lace gown. DIXIELAND. I) ixie Ia 11 d Cabaret, opened on Saturday evening for the winter season under new management. The floor was crowded with dancers and the new season's evening frocks looked graceful and pretty. The softly shaded lights and artistic decorations of the cabaret were much admired, and the hanging baskets of ferns and potted palms gave a cool note of green to the decorative scheme. Tho latest, danco music, was played by tho Dixieland orchestra, under Mr. JI. Nielsen, and was repeatedly encored. Exhibition dances were given by Miss Jean llorno and her partner, Mr. Cogui. Among tho dancers were Mrs. A. Grev, who were a frock of black net and taffeta ; Mrs. Harold Ward, Nile-green satin with embroidered pink roses; Miss P. Foster, black georgette; Miss Doris Cleland, white organdie; Miss Marie .Inguseh, black georgette; Miss J. Staeoy, salmon-pink georgette; Miss Mary Macshane, pastel pink and blue, frilled georgette; Miss Ruth Owen, lacquer-red georgette; Miss Rona Kelly, black and flame floral ninon; Miss Evelyn Moran, black souple satin; Miss Trenside, tangerine lacO; Miss 0. Allan, beigo laco frock; Miss E. Allan, black satin beaute with rose-pink georgette; Miss Owen Chalmers,* autumn-shaded floral ninon; Miss Eaves, floral chiffon; Miss G. Leal hcr-Carrow,. black georgette; Miss A. Rodgers, cornflower-blue floral taffeta; Miss 15. Sherson. flame embossed georgette; Miss Alma Tnglis, turquoise blue taffeta and net; Miss Yvonne Upton, black lace; Miss E. Bates, npple-green inoiro taffeta.
