NEW WORLD CRUISE.

THE CARI NTH IA ? S ITINERARY. NEW ZEALAND INCLUDED. A world cruise by the liner Carinthia, commencing next January and including New Zealand, is announced by the Cunard Line and Thomas Cook and Son, who are jointly responsible for the tour. The Carinthia, which is to leave New York on January 7, will follow an unusual route to include most of the ports of outstanding interest in the Southern Hemisphere. For the first time in 10 years the Carinthia will replace her sister the Franconia. Once before, in 1927, tho Franconia took the southern route. The route to be followed by the Carinthia after leaving New York will be: —Through the Panama Canal to San Pedro, California, Hawaii, the South Sea Islands, New Zealand, Australia, New Guinea, the Moluccas, the Dutch East Indies, including Bali and Java, Malaya, Ceylon, Seychelle Islands, along the eastern coast of Africa, with several stops en route, across the South Atlantic to Montevideo for Buenos Ayres, Brazil. Martinique and back to New York, returning May 26. The approximate duration of the cruise is four months and a-half. A feature of the cruise will be the calls at Papeete, Rarotonga, Apia and Suva. From Suva the Carinthia will come on to Auckland and Wellington and then pass over to Melbourne, Sydney and New Guinea.
