A FASHIONABLE PARTY.
M. AND MME. MENJOU. Lady Ashley gave a party for M. and Mme. Menjou, when they visited London recently. Rime. Menjou was discovered to be a most charming and attractive person, very pretty to sec in a white suede tani o' shanter, and a little black fur coat. There seemed to be so many people in the room that you had no sooner recognised someone you wanted to speak to, than she was lost to sight again, says the writer.
M. Menjou was a later arrival than most of the other guests; coming straight from work. It was a most successful party. Incidentally, film stars who come over hero must miss Lady Louis Mountbatten very much, for she knows them all, and entertains so amusingly for them when they are in London. Nobody else that I can think of has quite so wide an acquaintance in Hollywood.
